This song came about after I sat through a worship service in which the pastor spoke on the greatness of God. He specifically spent time on the mercy and love shown to us by God within Jesus Christ. Upon reflecting, I really found myself at a loss for words. It was in this moment that the words to the song came forth. My hope was to write a singable prayer to the Lord, asking Him to show us mercy, in light of all the ways we try to ‘be God,’ similar to the story in Genesis of Adam and Eve.
