About Me
Hey guys, just wanted to tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up
in a sports home with my dad winning a National Championship for the
University of Alabama in football. I had to live under this huge
shadow. God had other plans with me and used me in high school to lead
worship for my youth group. I didn’t really realize I wanted to do
music until I did it every week and began growing more and more in love
with it.
I graduated high school and playing Junior college tennis for
a year and then transfered to the University of Alabama and got
involved with Campus Crusade for Christ. I led there for 2 1/2 years
and then got involved with Calvary Baptist Church’s youth group. After
I graduated from Alabama I moved to Nashville to pursue song writing
and worship leading. I have been leading here at Fellowship Bible
Church’s singles/college ministry for about 7 months now. The Lord has
blessed me with 3 cuts since I have been here 2 years. One is
"Forevermore", on the new Aaron Shust record, and "Jesus Give Me Rest"
on the new FFH record.
I recently completed an EP of his worship songs with the
help of veteran musicians, guitarist Todd Shay (Michael W. Smith,
Sonicflood) bass player Tom Michael (Watermark, Sonicflood) and drummer
Brett Vargason (Point of Grace, Sonicflood).
Jason Ingram, an acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer said
"Brett Rutledge has a unique ability to connect his heart with a great
melody; every time I hear him sing a song he’s written, I believe it."
Glory be to God for all that is done, it is for, through, and to him…
